Next bit of business is to clean up the oh so perished belts on another old Sony tape deck. TC-W345 I never understood as all the belts I have encountered heretofore have been dry and broken but these are straight up GOO!

That’s the belt y’all, turned to goo!A collection of long wooden cotton swabs on their ends is placed on a paper towel next to a pair of tweezers and a crumpled paper. Their ends are black with the goo of old rubber cassette belts.
